Pricing questions
Does every plan include a free trial?
Yes. You start on Starter for 14 days with the full product and a three-user cap. No card is required to begin. After the trial, pick Growth or Operator in Billing.
What is actually different on Operator?
In the product: vendor bills stay pending until someone approves them. Growth and trial post bills when you enter them. Outside the product: priority support and a guided onboarding are human services, not extra screens.
Is there a per-user fee?
No. Growth is $79 per month with unlimited users. Operator is $149 per month with unlimited users. Starter is limited to three users during the trial.
Can I switch plans later?
Yes. Move between Growth and Operator from Dashboard → Settings → Billing or the Stripe customer portal.
Does Modern Accounting AI replace my accountant?
No. It is accounting software, not tax or accounting advice. Most teams keep clean books here and send a package to their accountant.
What is not in any plan?
No live bank feed (Plaid), no ML categorizer, no tax e-file, and no customer portal beyond the invoice pay link. Those are not hidden behind Operator.
