Disclaimer

Effective August 16, 2026 · Governed by Florida law

This Disclaimer is part of the agreement between you and Modern Accounting AI. It applies to the website, the software, the tax calendar, the blog, sales conversations, and any other materials we publish. It is incorporated into the Terms of Service. If there is a conflict on professional-services issues, this Disclaimer controls.

1. Not a CPA firm and not public accounting

Modern Accounting AI is the name of this software platform and the company that operates it. We are not a certified public accounting firm. We are not licensed to practice public accountancy under Chapter 473, Florida Statutes, or the rules of the Florida Board of Accountancy, and we do not hold ourselves out as CPAs, auditors, or attest firms in any jurisdiction.

Without limitation, Modern Accounting AI does not:

  • Perform audits, reviews, compilations, or other attest services.
  • Issue auditor’s opinions, comfort letters, or assurance reports.
  • Provide a CPA–client relationship, privilege, or fiduciary duty.
  • Substitute for a licensed certified public accountant, enrolled agent, tax attorney, bookkeeper you separately engage, or other qualified professional.

2. No tax, legal, accounting, or investment advice

Nothing on or in the Service is tax advice, legal advice, accounting advice, investment advice, or a professional opinion. Content is for general operational and informational purposes only. You must obtain advice from a professional licensed in your jurisdiction before you take or refrain from taking any action that could affect your taxes, financial statements, regulatory filings, or legal rights.

Your use of the Service does not create an attorney–client, CPA–client, adviser–client, or fiduciary relationship. We do not owe you a duty of professional care of the kind that applies to licensed practitioners.

3. Software outputs can be wrong

Ledgers, reports, aging, forecasts, categorizations, dashboards, and any automated or “AI”-labeled insights are mechanical outputs based on data you enter and on software logic that can contain errors, gaps, or delays. You are solely responsible for:

  • The completeness and accuracy of data you enter or import.
  • Reviewing every posting, invoice, bill, report, and export.
  • Confirming that your books, tax classifications, and filings comply with GAAP or other frameworks you choose, and with IRS, state, and local law.
  • Maintaining records your regulators, lenders, investors, or tax authorities require, independent of this software.

4. Tax calendar and educational content

The tax calendar, blog posts, feature descriptions, and similar materials summarize publicly discussed dates and practices. Filing deadlines, forms, and rules change. Federal, state, and local authorities — not Modern Accounting AI — are the source of legal requirements. Do not rely on our calendar as your only reminder system or as advice that a deadline applies to you.

5. Your counterparties and third-party data

Invoices, bills, and messages you generate are your communications. We are not a party to your contracts with customers or vendors. We do not guarantee that third parties will pay, that bank or processor information is correct, or that a document you store is admissible or complete for litigation or audit.

6. No guarantee of results

Marketing statements about close speed, receivables, or similar outcomes are illustrative and not a warranty that you will achieve any particular result. Your results depend on your data, staffing, processes, and decisions.

7. Allocation of risk

To the maximum extent permitted by the laws of the State of Florida, you assume all risk arising from reliance on the Service or our content. Our warranty disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity, and dispute terms in the Terms of Service apply to everything described here. Nothing in this Disclaimer expands any warranty we have disclaimed.
